You are a shield around me, my glory, the one who lifts my head high.
God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right.
God is a judge who is perfectly fair.
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you have set in place—what are mortals that you should think of us?
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in time of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, have never abandoned anyone who searches for you.
He does not ignore those who cry to him for help.
Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
